Disability Ordeal – Heartening community reaction

Following the post from a couple of days ago about the plight of the Tozsu family in Newington, I can now share the BBC Radio Kent coverage. Mr and Mrs Tozsu have two children, each with severe disability. The home they live in is not suitable for the level of care they and the local services have to provide. On Friday evening Dominic King  ran an interview with Mr Tozsu and then talked to me about the hardship faced by the family.

I’m calling for Social Services and Housing to step up to make sure a proper sustainable solution is found. It’s heartening to have been contacted by local people who have  offered expertise. If the ‘authorities’ fail to offer a solution for this family then I hope the community will step up.
